Privacy Policy

What GrowthBrief collects when you read the site (very little) and how to reach us about it.

Last updated

The short version

You can read GrowthBrief without an account. The public site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and loads no third party scripts. We do not sell or share personal data.

Story photos

Story photos load straight from Unsplash's image servers (images.unsplash.com), so your browser asks Unsplash for each photo, and Unsplash sees the technical details of that request, such as your IP address, as any website you load an image from does. Unsplash's own privacy policy applies to it.

What is collected

  • Server logs. When your browser requests a page, our hosting providers record technical details such as your IP address, the page requested, your browser type, and the time. They use these logs to run, secure, and debug the service, and keep them for a limited time.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to desk@growthbrief.example, we keep your message and address to reply and to handle your request.

Share links

The share buttons on a story are plain links. Nothing is sent to LinkedIn, X, or WhatsApp unless you click one, and then their own privacy policies apply.

Who processes data for us

The site is hosted on Vercel, its data service on Render, and its database on Supabase, in their Singapore regions. They process server logs on our behalf.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Write to desk@growthbrief.example with "Privacy" in the subject.

Changes

If we add anything that collects more, such as analytics or a newsletter, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it. See our Cookie Policy.
