Policies

Ethics

The principles that keep GrowthBrief's coverage fair, independent, and honest.

Last updated

Independence

We decide what to cover, and how, on news value alone. We do not accept payment, gifts, or favours from the companies, ministries, or people we cover, and we do not let anyone review a story before it is published.

Conflicts of interest

Anyone on the desk who has a financial or personal interest in a company or story steps away from covering it. If a conflict could not be avoided, we disclose it in the story.

No paid coverage

We never publish paid or sponsored content presented as news. If we carry advertising in future, it will be clearly labelled and kept apart from our stories (see Advertise).

Fairness

We report what sources announce without exaggeration, keep facts apart from analysis, and avoid language that takes sides. When a story concerns a named company or person, we stick to what the public record shows.

Honesty about how we work

We tell readers how our stories are drafted with AI and chosen by an editor, we credit every source and photographer, and we correct our mistakes in the open. See AI Policy and Corrections.
